Brutrinia Cain

ACC

Brutrinia “Trinia” Cain is passionate about equipping leaders with the skills they need for positive impact, to develop their emotional intelligence, and create more strategic approaches to their leadership. With over two decades of diverse experience spanning nursing, law, health policy, and leadership, Trinia brings a unique perspective and depth to coaching and leadership development. Her coaching philosophy centers on the belief that the most effective leaders operate from a place of authenticity and wholeness, regardless of their organizational level or functional role.

Trinia began her career as commissioned officer and trauma nurse in the U.S. Army before pursuing a law degree. After passing the bar, she was commissioned into the U.S. Public Health Service Corps, where she held senior policy advisory roles at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General, and the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Office of Legislation, and the Division of Practitioner Data Bank. She also served on the health and labor policy teams of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Labor as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow. These experiences informed her approach to coaching, particularly with senior leaders in high-stakes, dynamic environments.

Driven by a deep commitment to supporting those who lead others, Trinia co-developed and directed an internal coaching program to help mitigate burnout among active-duty nurse officers deployed to support COVID-19 missions. She continues to conduct research and create lectures and workshops focused on this crucial issue.
