Career Services at the Illinois Institute of Technology seeks a Career Development Coach to play an integral role in supporting programs and initiatives of the office, including coaching, event management, stewardship, and career development support of students and alumni, all contributing to the mission and vision of the university.
This position is responsible for assisting students with career development, developing job and internship experiential learning and job search strategies, identifying employment opportunities and general preparation of students for the transition from Illinois Tech to their professional careers. Provides assistance to students and alumni individually and through group presentations, develops industry-specific knowledge that aligns with Illinois Tech’s academic programs, collaborates with staff and faculty in other campus departments in providing career programming. This position will also be expected to support in training and supervision for 4-7 student workers – our front desk student assistant team and our peer career coaches.
