The F. David Fowler Career Center (FDFCC) supports students and alumni by equipping them with lifelong career management skills. It creates meaningful partnerships among students, alumni, faculty, and employers to enable fulfilling and rewarding careers. The Marketing360 Program is an integral initiative within FDFCC, designed to launch successful marketing careers by providing an immersive experience that enhances industry knowledge, career navigation skills, interview preparation, and professional networking.
The Sr. Career Coach, Marketing360, plays a pivotal role in advancing GWSB's mission by preparing students for thriving careers in the marketing industry. This position offers targeted support to GWSB students through programming and leadership that deepens their understanding of various marketing careers, develops necessary technical skills, sharpens career readiness, and fosters networking and professional skills.
Additionally, the Sr. Career Coach, Marketing360, builds and sustains relationships with GWU alumni, industry leaders, and key stakeholders to develop impactful programming and workshops. Collaborating with faculty and employer relations teams, the role ensures students have access to robust opportunities that align with their career aspirations, ultimately creating well-rounded professionals who are ready to make meaningful contributions on their first day in the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management and Development
Design, develop, and implement a two-semester experiential learning program to enhance students' marketing skills through workshops, presentations, and group activities.
Engage alumni, faculty, and industry professionals to deliver workshops and learning sessions.
Collaborate with the FDFCC employer relations team to cultivate relationships with companies recruiting for marketing positions on campus.
Manage all administrative aspects of Marketing360, including budgets, contracts, record-keeping, and departmental logistics.
Oversee the collection and reporting of program statistics, including student internships, job interviews, and employment outcomes.
Student Coaching and Support
Provide one-on-one coaching to students, including assessing career goals and interests, resume development, interview preparation, self-branding (e.g., LinkedIn), and readiness for professional roles.
Promote student engagement and participation in Marketing360.
Direct the activities of GW student workers supporting the program.
Collaboration and Relationship Building
Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, alumni, and industry professionals to create meaningful opportunities for students.
Foster enthusiasm and teamwork among program participants and collaborators.
Ensure all activities align with the program's objective of creating "Day 1 Market Ready" professionals.
