The Career Success Coach assists students/alumni with professional development related to career options, the development of professional job search skills & securing employment. The position will serve as a liaison with academic colleges and will help develop & maintain relationships with employers. Standard work week, with some evenings and weekends necessary.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
Provide career search advising students, while incorporating alumni in the process.
Plan, schedule, coordinate, deliver, promote career development workshops, information sessions & career events.
Serves as liaison with colleges.
Conducts employer site visits to develop and maintain relationships to expand employment opportunities.
Promoting experiential learning related to the students' academic studies and career directions.
Market services of Department of Career Success.
Participate in all orientation sessions.
Collaborate with other Career Success personnel to plan and execute career fairs, information sessions, and employer visits.
Develop and implement an assessment plan for assigned college; maintain data and records needed for monthly and annual reports.
Track data required for various departmental statistics.
Foster and maintain effective relationships with all campus constituents.
Participate in regional, state and national business associations, various chambers of commerce activities, with an emphasis on employer development.
Other duties as assigned.
